Vampire Security officers caught thieves in the act while trying to steal a cable from the N17 Wit Road tunnels around 02:00 on Tuesday.

According to the security company’s owner, the officers called static guards for backup after spotting the thieves.

The guards apprehended three thieves, while another three managed to flee.

“They contacted the EMPD for assistance with the arrests, as the officers could not leave the site with the cable still at risk,” he said.
