Duduza – As part of its 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children Campaign, the Duduza SAPS, the departments of Community Safety and Social Development, the Women as Safety Promoters, GBV Brigades and community members in blue did visited the Tshwaranang Elderly Care Centre in Duduza.

The programme, led by the Duduza Brigades, aimed to teach the elderly folk about the various forms of GBVF, how to protect themselves and apply for a protection order, and the steps to follow when seeking help from the SAPS.

A Sassa representative shared information with the elderly about their grants and how to report incidents when their grant money is misused.

The stakeholders sang and prayed with the elderly and the staff to celebrate the gift of life. The elderly could ask questions, and the stakeholders addressed all the issues presented.
