Tsakani police probe multiple fatal shootings after three killed in separate incidents

Tsakani police are investigating multiple murder cases after three men were shot in separate incidents over two days, leaving three dead and one injured.

Tsakani – Tsakani police responded to a double murder and attempted murder at the corner of Mabizela and Madiba streets in Tsakane Ext 19 on May 17.

“Upon arrival, they found the lifeless bodies of two male victims lying far apart.

“They noticed that the victims had bullet wounds to the upper body,” explained Ekurhuleni SAPS district spokesperson, Captain Neldah Sekgobela.

“Officers were further informed that the other victim was taken to the hospital by ambulance.”

Sekgobela added that all victims were identified by their families, who arrived at the scene.

In a separate incident in Tsakani at 01:00 on May 18, local police responded to a murder at the corner of Maqhawe and Khothani streets, Tsakani.

Officers arrived and found the lifeless body of a man lying in the street.

“Upon inspecting the body, they noticed the victim had bullet wounds to the upper body.

“The victim is unknown at this stage and the suspects are also unknown,” she cited.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have information that could lead to the arrest of the suspect/s to come forward, or to report anonymously on 08600 10111.
