Duduza couple arrested in connection with rape of a three-year-old
Mother and her boyfriend have been arrested for the rape of a three-old minor.
Tsakani – A 45-year-old man and his girlfriend have been arrested in connection with the rape of a three-year-old in Cool Breeze Section.
The 28-year-old mother of the child reportedly told police she suspected her daughter was raped.
She is alleged to have come home with her boyfriend on Friday night after visiting a tavern and decided to sleep with her partner and toddler in the same bed.
In the morning the child started complaining about abdominal pains and the mother suspected that she may have been sexually assaulted.

Duduza police spokesperson Sergeant Harry Manaka said the police preliminary investigation led to the arrest of the boyfriend who is now facing charges of rape.
“Further police investigations revealed that the mother was away drinking and left the baby with her boyfriend for the whole day.
“The mother was also arrested for child negligence,” he explained.
Manaka added that the two are expected to appear in the Nigel Magistrate Court on their respective charges.
