EMPD nabs four suspects in Duduza drug bust, seizes suspected nyaope and cash
EMPD officers acted on tip-off, confiscating suspected nyaope and cash during arrests
Duduza – EMPD Tracing Unit officers nabbed four men, aged between 26 and 42, on April 27. The men were arrested for possession and possible dealing in narcotics in Duduza.
According to CoE spokesperson Zweli Dlamini, officers received information about individuals suspected of being involved in dealing with illicit substances.
“The information was followed by a clear description of the whereabouts.
“Three male suspects were arrested with packets of narcotics in their possession, and the one suspect was arrested for dealing with narcotics as he was found with several small packets of narcotics in his possession and cash, amounting to R2 760,” he explained.
The narcotics suspected to be nyaope, amounting to R2 400, were confiscated and booked in at the Duduza Police Station.
All the suspects arrested were detained at Duduza SAPS and will soon appear before the relevant magistrate’s court.
