Kwa-Thema’s Intoyokthenga builds international reputation in Amapiano scene
Kwa-Thema-born music producer, vocalist and sound engineer Siphiwe 'Intoyokthenga' Sibiya is making a name for himself through collaborations with established artists and a growing international presence.
Kwa-Thema – Music producer, vocalist and sound engineer Siphiwe ‘Intoyokthenga’ Sibiya is steadily building his reputation as one of Kwa-Thema’s emerging creative forces in the Amapiano movement.
Formerly known as Somali, Sibiya has spent years refining his craft behind the scenes while contributing to productions that showcase the richness and evolution of South Africa’s globally celebrated sound.
Sibiya’s transition into the Intoyokthenga brand reflects artistic growth, creative maturity and a renewed commitment to producing authentic African music that resonates both locally and internationally.
His growing catalogue includes notable collaborations with respected artists including ShisaBoy, Tebogo G Mashego, QueenHoneyBee, ICCY REJ, Subzero JNR, L-Sauce, and others.
“These collaborations have strengthened my position as both a versatile producer and an artist capable of bridging different musical styles while remaining rooted in the unmistakable rhythm of Amapiano.
“Among my recognised works are Singalali Emakhaya, featuring ShisaBoy, Tebogo G Mashego and ICCY REJ; Inja Speed, produced by Intoyokthenga.

“And Bana Ni Maboko, a collaboration that has extended my reach beyond South Africa through international partnerships,” Sibiya explained.
One of the defining moments in his career came when he appeared on material released under the Belgium-based label QueenHoneyBee.
This appearance demonstrated the increasing global demand for South African talent and further positioned Sibiya as an artist with international appeal.
Raised in Kwa-Thema, Sibiya represents a generation of independent musicians who continue to shape South Africa’s music landscape through innovation, consistency and collaboration.
