“I believe the players were anxious to showcase their talent and impress their home supporters.
“They could not focus and kept on making mistakes that ended up costing us the game.
“A game of soccer needs the players to loosen up and focus on the game. This was not the case with our players,” he says.
Mkhonza says this was their fourth game this season and the only game they have lost.
“We are going to go back to the drawing board to rework our strategy on the field,” he says.
Mkhonza adds that he is calling on female soccer players to join the team.
“We need more female players, to strengthen the sports in the area.
“We are also encouraging parents and more community members to support different sporting codes in the area,” he says.

One of the local soccer lovers, Thulani Nyazimba, says he was disappointed in how the Home Sweepers played.
“They were defending more than creating scoring opportunities.
“They were not confident or showed hunger to win. They must work on their confidence on the field,” he says.
