Local team branches tackle each other

Kaizer Chiefs supporters from different branches came together in Langaville Extension Eight on March 16 to promote good sportsmanship and an outreach programme.

The Kaizer Chiefs supporters from different branches came together in Langaville Extension Eight on March 16 to promote good sportsmanship and an outreach programme.

Marketing officer for the Langaville branch Oliver Mphahlele explained that this was merely to unite the branches.

“We have been experiencing much division and lots of challenges lately, so we thought this was a good idea to bring the branches together for a day of good football,” says Mphahlele.

Tshepo Mokone, a player from the Katlehong branch, says, “Today is about fun, promoting good health and coming together as Amakhosi family.”

Even though Langaville lost the game, Tebogo Phalane, one of the players, remained positive and excited about the future.

“Win or lose, we remain one. We are all here for the love of the game and to form meaningful friendships.”

Members provide a vital support structure for each other and stand together.
