Springs Homes Sweepers play to a draw

KwaThema – The Springs Home Sweepers u-13 team fought to hold on to their position in the top five during the Gauteng Development League Games on Saturday.

The team took on their visitors, Kagiso Porto FC from Kagiso.

The games were played at the KwaThema Stadium, with local football lovers cheering the young players on.

Springs Home Sweepers players had their hands full as they fought for a position in the top five of the Gauteng Development League while playing against Kagiso Porto FC.

 

Both teams missed many opportunities to score and the game ended in a 1 – 1 draw.

Springs Home Sweepers coach Mkhonza Mkhonzana says he is proud of the players because they showed a lot of improvement.

“This is our first year playing in the league and the boys are already in the top five.

“We are hoping to finish as the winners because we have been working hard through the years to deserve a spot in the league,” he explains.

Mkhonzana adds he is calling on parents and local football lovers to support the teams by attending their matches, especially when they play locally.

 

“We can only make it big with the support of our people.

“This helps build morale and confidence in our players,” he adds.

Springs Home Sweepers players had their hands full as they fought for a position in the top five of the Gauteng Development League while playing against Kagiso Porto FC.

The team will be playing again at the stadium on Sunday against Sputla Stars.
