Karate lessons for kasi children

Langaville – Star Health and Fitness Karate Club is hosting karate training to help keep young people active and occupied this festive season.
The training programme was launched on Monday morning.
Karate instructor Tefo Mbenge says they decided to use the festive holidays to train young people in self-defense.

“We have identified that young people are targeted and kidnapped by criminals, but through our training they will be armed with skills to be able to fight.
“Our development training is for free for three months’ probation from December – February 2020.
“We believe after three months’ probation the children will be ready to compete in the KwaThema martial arts competition, which will be organised by the KwaThema Martial Arts Association.”

Tefo adds that the session is held from 11-12pm on weekdays until Thursday for children aged from 6-15 years.
“If you are interested, your child must be accompanied by a parent before training starts.
“A karate suit must be bought for the participants because those without will not be allowed to train,” he explains.
