Tsamaya league comes to an end
The league resumed on October 11 and was initially meant to end on November 22.
Tsakani – The Tsamaya Masters Social Football Mini Covid-19 League officially came to an end on November 29, with Bazingeli Football Club crowned the champions.
The winners were awarded a prize of R1 650, a trophy and gold medals.
The league resumed on October 11 and was initially meant to end on November 22, but due to adverse weather conditions some matches were not played on scheduled dates.
Bazingeli chairperson Vusi Khumalo said teamwork and communication helped propel the team to first place.

“We made history as the first new team to participate in the league and actually win it. The league had previously been dominated by RDP Masters and it gives us so much pride to know we were able to defeat them.
“I believe we have opened the door for other teams and shown that it is possible,” he said.
Sixteen teams participated, with the teams divided into four groups.
“Competition was tough as we were playing against great teams, but thankfully we were able to defeat the giants in the league. We took each game as it came,” he added.
League chairperson Jacob Smith is happy with how the tournament wrapped up.

“The tournament went well, the community and our beloved team supported it each step of the way, for which we are entirely grateful. All the teams showed dedication and commitment from the beginning until the end,” he said.
The league will commence in February with the top eight teams.
City Royals FC secured the second position and took home 20 silver medals and R400.
