“This is our first time playing in the league and as much as we are excited we were also nervous. The girls are still trying to find their feet within the league.
“The goal is to make it to the top eight and we understand that it won’t be that easy. We are prepared to work hard, play a good game and gain as much experience as possible,” he said.

Young Achivers took on JVW on Saturday at Kwa-Thema Stadium.

Malatji added that lack of resources contributes to the overall performance of the team.
“Being part of the league will require a lot of travelling, which should be an exciting experience for the players. The challenge remains resources. We hosted the match yet we needed to use the balls as supplied by the opposition, this is wrong.
“We are pleading with our community and local businesses to assist us with donations and training equipment,” he said.
