Juniors to showcase their skills at the tennis tournament

Kwa-Thema – Tennis players from the Kwa-Thema Sparks Tennis Club will participate in a junior tournament on Saturday at the Arthur Ashe tennis courts in Soweto.
The club is pleading with the community to assist with transport fares for the trip.
Head coach Moses Ngwenya said due to court challenges, local tournaments were unable to be hosted.
“Transportation for games has been a challenge since our courts are in a bad state. Also, it will be unfair to our players if some get left behind.
“As it will kill the morale of the players, support is important while players learn by being present,” he said.

He added the club feels positive about the upcoming competition as they have been working hard to prepare.
“We have seen development among our players, which is good for the growth of the club,” he added.
They also have a lack of equipment such as tennis balls and rackets.
