Single aims to bring awareness of gender-based violence
The album is a mixture of kwaito, house, gospel, Afro-soul, fusion and some hip-hop.

Tsakane – Thirty-year-old Mthobisi Qwabe is championing awareness of gender-based violence among men through his newly released song titled Empilwen Yami.
“This song is about a woman who has experienced abuse at the hands of a partner.
“The reason for recording the song is that I wanted to highlight the emotional impact our actions, as men, have on both children and women.
“I want the song to give some insight and hopefully inspire change of behaviour within our communities,” says Qwabe.

“The album reflects on current events and challenges we, as South Africans face. It touches on xenophobia, women and children abuse, as well as human trafficking.
