Kwa-Thema – eKasi Fashion Week (EFW) will host its 14th annual showcase on Saturday.

“Since its inception, EFW has been on the forefront of giving up-and-coming designers a platform to showcase their unique abilities and creativity.
“Historically, the spotlight has always been on designers who have financial backing to showcase at celebrated fashion weeks in the country.
“This has often proven despondent for designers without these resources, despite being equally talented, if not more,” he said.
Designers are selected on strict criteria, according to Monoki.

“Each season, talented local designers are selected on a strict criterion to ensure quality control and finesse.
“They get to realise their dreams of having their garments paraded in front of fashion buyers, the media as well as fashion enthusiasts.
“The creation of this platform also aims to encourage the buying and investing in local products,” he added.
The fashion showcase will feature the spring/summer collections, with the theme being “Celebrating your uniqueness and embracing your greatness”.
Fashion stalls will be available. For any enquiries, contact Monoki on 082 315 9872.
