Ntando’s new song aims to uplift
He has released his latest single, Abantu, from his upcoming extended-play (EP) to be released on December 14, under the On Men Records Company.

Kwa-Thema – Twenty-one-year-old Ntando Mthetwa is an up-and-coming neo-soul and contemporary jazz artist.
He has released his latest single, Abantu, from his upcoming extended-play (EP) to be released on December 14, under the On Men Records Company.
Having discovered his talent at an early age with the support of family and Mpupile Mathibe, a music director and choir conductor at the Saint Andrew Youth Choir, he said he was able to nurture and form his musical talents.

“Growing up in church played a major role in terms of stage confidence because I started singing in church.
“Being on that church stage every Sunday prepared me well and is probably one of the reasons why I pursued a career in music.
“It hasn’t been an easy journey, especially because I am a young and independent artist.
“I have had to perform or work with other artists for free to gain exposure, had sleepless nights in the studio and almost gave it all up because of the fear of losing myself in the process of trying to make it as a successful musician,” he said.
The song is produced by BlaqnoteSA, a composer and producer based in Tsakani.
“These are one of the compositions I believe were given to us by God.
“It conveys a strong message of hope and motivation to our nation, and is dedicated to the people, for the people.”

He said his biggest achievement was performing a tribute for Nelson Mandela.
“The most memorable gig for me to date has to be performing a tribute for the late Nelson Mandela on live television.
“I believe that all the challenges I have come across so far have made me stronger and have motivated me to learn about the music industry,” he explained.
He released his first project titled Silindile, which is available on all digital platforms, in 2018.
He is part of the Lasttown Band.
