Tsakani – Members of Tsakani Revolution believe they have all the talent and passion necessary to showcase their dance moves at the country’s biggest events.
“We would like to think we fall under the pantsula category if we had to pick one,” explained Siyabonga September, one of the founding members of the group.
The crew is mainly made up of teenagers from Extension Six.

“Some of us met when we were part of another dance group, but in 2018 we decided to start our own thing,” said Lucky Relebogile.
The young creatives believe that staying active and building their portfolio helps them stay off the street.
They said they are aware of the many distractions that can keep them from being successful.
“We see a better future for ourselves and we have been putting in the hard work,” said Relebogile.

The group has performed on several local stages and are committed to doing even more.
“We are hopeful that more doors will open up for us soon,” said September.
One of their main challenges is transport to get to events, especially outside of Tsakani.
“We would appreciate it if someone could help us get to where we need to perform,” September added.
