Cupcake angels bring joy

Cupcakes are delivered to the nursery school undecorated so that the little ones can have some fun adorning them.

Three angels of compassion combined their love, care and efforts and became Cupcake Angels.

Zelmari Botha (owner of Dudes and Divas Nursery School), Angelique van Heerden and Monique Minnie started off with a small project of involving only the Dudes and Divas Nursery School, but it soon overflowed into the private sector of colleagues at Fincede Brokers and various friends.

The cupcakes delivered to the nursery school are undecorated with an array of decorations which the little ones can place on their own cupcake, thereby involving them physically into this very worthy project.

Although they are still too young to understand what this is all about, all of them participate to help another child in need.

The cupcakes that are sold to the public are beautifully decorated with a handmade ribbon with a silver ball to bring hope to those who cannot speak for themselves.

“Cancer in children is unthinkable and therefore so often overlooked. We hereby once again wish to emphasise the importance of the project as funding for research and treatment of cancer in children is desperately needed,” said Angelique.

“May every parent of a healthy child please donate whatever they can afford to help a child with cancer to show gratitude for the blessing of a healthy child. Cancer is not chosen – it happens – even in children.”
