Bracken High celebrates 30 years

Bracken High celebrated their 30th year on October 24 with plenty celebrations.

BRACKENHURST – The school invited parents, learners, ex principals, ex governing body members and retired staff to their 30 year celebration on October 24.

Learners from grade eight to 11 held a review and the closing act was the teachers showing off their best acting skills.

The review was themed “Through the ages” and was from 1970 right up until now. Teachers did the choreography, although the learners added some of their own acts and moves to the show.

Many who joined in renewed old friendships and caught up on news and gossip from through the years. The school is 30 years old, although they have been open for 32 years since the first learners joined the school.

Current principal Tony Jordaan has been principal of the school for two years now and said that he enjoys it and that it keeps him busy.

The night started off with a welcoming speech and then drinks and snacks were served. After the formalities guests sat to enjoy the show.
