AN 11-year-old boy was killed in a hit-and-run incident in Eden Park on Monday, May 30, at about 17:30.
Two cousins, the deceased and an eight-year-old boy, were walking down the busy Petersen Street opposite extension one when they were hit by a vehicle.
The eight-year-old escaped death but sustained serious injuries and was rushed to hospital. His cousin died on the scene.
No arrests have been made yet and the police are investigating a case of culpable homicide.
