Body of a homeless man found under a bridge of Natalspruit stream

On scene were the fire department, EMPD, and Alberton SAPS.

Alberton SAPS have confirmed that a case of inquest has been opened after a body of a homeless male was found under a bridge of Natalspruit stream on February 28.

The body was found in a stream behind Gateway Centre at the corner of Ring Road and Voortrekker Street after Alberton SAPS received a tip-off at about 9 am.

The deceased, originally from Eastern Cape, according to a witness, was reported to being epileptic. However, Alberton SAPS have not confirmed the reason for his death.

On scene were the fire department, EMPD, and Alberton SAPS.

Capt Manare Ramotshela, Alberton SAPS spokesperson, urged the community to report any information on 079 695 1318.
