Poor turnout at a cleaning project

Tahirah Jegels of The People’s Dialogue organised the clean-up and she said the project was to show how the new political party that will be launched on August 29 is willing to get its hands dirty for the community.

Although there was a poor turnout from residents of Ward 57 in South Hills, a clean-up project on Linroy Street continued on August 7.

Tahirah Jegels of The People’s Dialogue organised the clean-up and she said the project was to show how the new political party that will be launched on August 29 is willing to get its hands dirty for the community.

“Tamuka Matiyshe, who sells fruits and veggies from Linroy Street corner, ward coordinator Raygen Soetmelk and myself cleaned up the refuse on the street,” she said.

August 10, a special Women’s Day tribute was paid to the amazing ladies at the Swinburne Old Age Home in South Hills by the new party.

For any information regarding the launch on August 29, how to join or to volunteer, contact wards 57 and 55 coordinators Tahirah Jegels on 084 765 0241 and Raygen Soetmelk on 079 732 5252.
