Ragdoll supporting crafters in need

With their doors open for only a bit more than two months, the Ragdoll Store has already made a difference in the lives of many people.

The store was opened after founder Lana Veldhuizen saw a need within the community for a charity shop that could provide a platform for local people in need to be able to sell their homemade crafts.

She approached Ligstad and together with them the dream of Ragdoll was born.

The store was opened just before Christmas in the Lemon Tree Shopping Centre, where the owners of the centre gave them, in their own words, a beautiful shop right in the middle and not in some little corner.

This was provided to them free of rent to help them with their efforts in supporting the community.

Since their opening, they have increased their range of stock from that of two local crafters to featuring handmade products from just two crafters to 40 members providing a range of products.

The store features products for everyone and is the ideal place to go for your next gift-buying trip. The products range from a steal to those that can please the most discerning eyes.

Ragdoll wants to grow its service to the community and is looking for more local craftsman who finds themselves in desperate need of a platform to showcase their goods.

For more information feel free to give Lana a call on 083 401 4235 or the shop on 073 203 8725.
