Alberton City gives back to frontline workers

This was all done to say thank you to the frontline workers.

Alberton City Shopping Centre recently handed over their Wall of Hope messages and 250 packages of appreciation to the frontline workers at the Netcare Union Hospital.

“No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted. Once again thank you so much to all our fantastic shoppers for your messages of encouragement not only for our front liners but for all those suffering from Covid-19,” said Lenita Camacho, from Alberton City’s retail sector.

The Wall of Hope is a project where shoppers could write their messages of encouragement for patients and frontline workers.

The handover brought a lot of smiles and some tears to the nurses.

“To the amazing staff at the Netcare Union Hospital, thank you for all your hard work, dedication, long hours and love over the past year that you have shown our community. We truly do appreciate it.

“You are all constantly in our thoughts and prayers as we continue to fight this dreaded disease,” Lenita concluded.
