GALLERY: Locals have a blast during social market

The Alberante-Randhart Security Village, sponsored by Protective Force and Wild Ones Educational Animal Shows, hosted an Easter treasure hunt and social market on March 27 in Alberante.

The market gave vendors an opportunity to showcase their arts and crafts, food, and there were great prize giveaways. Children were also thrilled to receive a visit from the Easter bunny.

Adelia Hamburg of Protective Force told the RECORD the event was also hosted to gather donations for the Abraham Kriel Children’s Home.

“Locals had a chance to donate to the children’s home as we had placed donation boxes around. We were taking donations ranging from preloved clothes to toys that were still in good condition. The home is struggling because it operates purely on donations, especially during this time,” she said.

Leanne Trim, Alberante-Randhart Security Village committee member, reiterated that this was their second biggest event to help create a sense of community.

Among many other vendors on the day were OMFG Foodtruck, Habibi Properties, FFD Laser, Candy’z Arts, Adelicious Coffee, Penny Whistle Bead and Wire and Martins Academy.
