Pedestrian left in critical condition

A man was critically injured on May 6 when a light motor vehicle struck him on Osborn Road in Wadeville.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 7.46 am to find the vehicle on the pavement. The pedestrian was found lying in front of the car.

It is understood the man had been opening his shop when he was struck by the vehicle.

Medics assessed the man and found he had sustained numerous injuries and was in a critical condition.

The man was treated and provided with advanced life support before being transported to Tambo Memorial Hospital for urgent care.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigation.
