WATCH: Alberton SPCA receives donation from Huula Foundation

Huula Foundation generously donated a whopping R10 000 to Alberton SPCA.

Alberton SPCA was the recipient of a R10 000 donation from Huula Foundation.

Huula Foundation is a Germiston-based initiative incepted a month ago with the sole purpose of helping those in need. It was founded as a social responsibility initiative and established by a club called Huula Beach Club.

Jose Rocha of Huula Foundation said they will be going all out into lending a helping hand to entities in the community.

“Occasionally, we will be donating a percentage of our proceeds to charitable causes that are important to us and the people, starting with a donation we made to the Alberton SPCA to help ensure the rescue animals have a better chance at finding their forever homes,” he said.

He told the RECORD as a society they feel they can do much more in spreading love and giving back to the community.

“We are so thankful to every person who comes to our events and celebrates the beauty that is life and music with us. We would like to thank you all from the bottom of our heart for supporting our events. Without you this initiative would never have been possible,” said Rocha.

Charmain Southon, GM of Alberton SPCA, said: “Huula Foundation spent time with our SPCA animals and donated a very generous cash donation. The animals loved the attention and we are extremely grateful.”
