Alberton North guitarist receives vaccination

Alberton North guitarist Kenny Mathaba dismisses all conspiracy theories surrounding vaccination after recently having his vaccine jab.

After having patiently waited for the opportunity, guitarist Kenny Mathaba recently received his vaccine jab on May 24.
Mathaba was thrilled to be vaccinated with the Pfizer vaccine under the Sisonke programme, sharing the name with his latest single, Sisonke. This was a song he released last year during hard lockdown.
He said sisonke simply translates to ‘we are in this together and collectively’.
Mathaba was vaccinated at Bertha Gxowa Hospital and said the experience was effortless and painless, except for the minor muscle pain in his hand.
“The impact of the pandemic on musicians across the globe was severe. Musicians depended on live performances and the pandemic restricted this. I dismiss all conspiracy theories surrounding Covid-19 and its vaccines,” he said.
Mathaba also recommended people should increase their knowledge base and carefully follow scientific reports on media before condemning the vaccine.
