Man injured in vehicle rollover

According to Russel Meiring, ER24 communications officer, ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 19:05 to find the vehicle upright on the side of the road.

“One man was found lying partially outside the vehicle, while the male driver was walking around on the scene,” he said.

Medics assessed the patients and found the man walking around had escaped with minor injuries, while the second man had sustained numerous injuries, leaving him in a critical condition.

The man was treated and provided with advanced life support interventions before being transported to a nearby hospital for further care. The man with minor injuries declined transportation to a hospital.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
