Get ready for the Thaba Eco Challenge

For the adventurous, there is also a 24-hour relay. These tickets are to be booked directly with Nicky.

SOJO Business and Tourism is excited to be launching a brand new charity event with their business partners – their first mountain bike and trail run or walk in the heart of one of our Jewels of the South: Thaba Trails.

Invite your work colleagues, family and friends to team up for the Thaba Eco-Challenge, all in the spirit of charity, on September 11 from 09:00 to 15:00.

“This is the first of what will be a large annual charity event in the South of Joburg,” enthused Nicky Vakaloudis, CEO of SOJO Business and Tourism.

“It is also a great warm-up for the 947 Cycle Race, also held for the very first time in the South on November 21 at FNB Stadium.”

The charity race at Thaba Trails is a four-hour event with a relay team of four members. Each lap is 5km for the MTB cycle or 2km for the run or walk.

The team with the most laps in each category is the winning team. You can enter in the categories male, female or mixed.

For the adventurous, there is also a 24-hour relay. These tickets are to be booked directly with Nicky.

Join them for an amazing event and fun day for the family with Foods of the World Village with Beer Garden and Gin Bar, a power car display and loads of other entertainment.

The event will also raise much-needed funds for the chosen charities, which are the Cansa, Dignity Dreams NPO, Stepping Stone Hospice, Fountain of Inspiration and Outreach Care.

This event would not be possible without their partners: Balwin Properties, Group 1 Auto Nissan The Glen, The Cycle Hub, Thaba Trails, Icarus Media, UVEX sports South Africa, Thaba Eco Hotel and Spa, Gold Reef City, Del Forno Lemon Tree, 911 Emergency services and Mobi-Med SA.

This is a SOJO (South of Joburg Business & Tourism) initiative to bring large scale events to the South.
Tickets are available on Quicket.

For more information or to book (R1 200 per team of four) email Nicky at info@sojo.co.za or Tandi at tandi@icarusmediagroup.co.za
