Alberton SPCA receives heartfelt donations

Ultimate Petcare Alberton paid Alberton SPCA a visit on September 6 to present them with donations.

In celebration of Alberton SPCA’s 50th anniversary, Ultimate Petcare Alberton made a cash donation to the Alberton SPCA, as well as numerous other contributions, on September 6.

The animal protection organisation received a cash donation of R600, two bags of dog food, four cans of tinned food and 11 sachets of meat. Ultimate Petcare Alberton also offered 50% voucher discounts for those adopting furry friends.

Caryn van Herwaarde of Ultimate Petcare Alberton said Duke’s Academy for Dogs, a dog training school based at Rietvlei Zoo Farm, also got involved by donating an additional R300.

“An amazing client of theirs named Ann Mitchell donated two big bags of dog food, four big tins of food and 11 sachets of puppy food. We decided to donate because the Alberton SPCA staff sees so much hurtful things on a regular basis. We don’t just groom and train dogs, we love them too,” she said.

She also told the RECORD they want the best for furry friends and that they are prepared to help them in any way possible.

Alberton SPCA manager Charmain Southon thanked the group for making a generous donation.
