Vandals leave Alberante residents distraught
For Albertsdal homeowners, Amber le Roux and Nicholas Dlamini, the unthinkable happened to their house while they were staying with Amber’s grandmother.
Vagrants had entered their property and carried off everything that was not nailed down and vandalised everything that remained. There is also evidence that people stayed on the premises without their knowledge.
The pair planned to rent out this fully furnished house to earn some extra income. They would occasionally visit the property but did not see anything wrong during their visits.
According to Nicholas, they received a call from their neighbour that someone was trying to take away their car from the Albertsdal property. They sped to the house and found one suspect on the property and the house in the state it was. They immediately contacted the police.
This suspect and another have been arrested and are facing charges.
Due to circumstances beyond their control, Amber and Nicholas can no longer stay where they were and desperately need to move back into the house. Due to the Covid-19 conditions, Amber has also lost her job and Nicholas only recently started working again.
The house is unfortunately not currently fit for them to live in and all their belongings are gone.
A group from the Patriotic Alliance visited the house on September 2 to help them move back in.
