Brackendowns SAPS paints the town blue

Brackendowns SAPS conducted two operations with their partners from the Brackendowns CPF and AfriForum in their ongoing fight against crime.

On February 25, the team was led by the Brackendowns SAPS station commander Col Munaf Ismail, with a focus on serious and violent crimes. The team targeted addresses of possible drug dens working off information received from the community.

The team also conducted two vehicle control points to search for possible illegal firearms and ammunition, illegal substances and people driving under the influence.

On February 26, the team was led by Brackdowns SAPS Vispol commander Capt Antoinette Foord. The theme for the day was to Paint the Town Blue, and the partners visited parks and places where illegal activities may take place. The team held a vehicle control point and raised awareness by handing out pamphlets on safety tips and GBV.

On both days the police conducted successful arrests of suspects.

“The message is that we take hands as a community, and we will not tolerate evil,” said WO Gerhard Cornelius, spokesperson for Brackendowns SAPS.

“We will continue to paint this town blue to ensure we can all sleep a little safer.”

The Brackendowns SAPS station commander and Vispol commander thanked all of the station’s partners for their dedication and willingness to stand with them in their endless battle against the common enemy of crime.
