Brackendowns SAPS conducts school search

The police officers addressed learners on substance abuse.

Officers from SAPS Brackendowns Vispol joined forces with the Brackendowns CPF and security companies FOX, Fidelity ADT and Protective force to conduct a search of learners at Royal Schools Alberton in Leopards Rest.

The goal was to find any illegal substances.

The team searched over 210 learners ranging from Grade Eight to 12. The police officers addressed learners on substance abuse.

“It’s always the safest bet,” said WO Gerhard Cornelius, spokesperson for Brackendowns SAPS.

Brackendowns station commander Col Manuf Ismail thanked the station’s partners for being ready to answer the call to take up arms in the fight against crime.
