A man was arrested on April 19 in Eike Street in General Albertspark by CPS Security.
“Our control room received a call from a client after witnessing the suspect jump over into his neighbour’s property. Our reaction and tactical team were dispatched to the call,” said sales director of CPS Security Tyrone van der Merwe.
The suspect was arrested after attempting to run away.
“A wallet and other items were found in his possession which was taken in a burglary in Bloekom Street belonging to a member of the fire department.”
The suspect had stolen a car radio from a vehicle, which resulted in the vehicle catching fire.
He was handed over to Alberton SAPS.
