Alberton SAPS members dress up for Heritage Day
Alberton SAPS invited Elsburg SAPS during their recent Heritage Day celebration at Alberton Dam.
Members of Alberton SAPS and Elsburg SAPS came together at Alberton Dam for a Heritage Day celebration on September 23.
While having a ball and beautifully dressed in different cultural attires, the men and women in blue shared ideas on combating crime in the communities they serve.
The members from both stations took turns in formulating ideas and also shed light on trending criminal tactics. Officers were also treated to mouthwatering treats as the day proceeded.
According to Captain Manare Ramotshela of Alberton SAPS, as they gathered to celebrate the day at the dam, services were being run as usual at the station.
“Criminals are just a drop in the ocean. Once we arrest one, our community will be safe during that time and our station commander is always preaching that gospel. When we have problems, he instructs us to arrange operations with our neighbouring stations to surprise these culprits,” he said.In light of their gathering, Ramotshela said the more they come together, the more effective they will be.
