Sizzling Summer Cup returns this November
The most-loved fun-filled sporting event which combines the finest in horse racing, entertainment and fashion is back.
The Summer Cup, one of Gauteng’s biggest and most prestigious annual events is back at Turffontein Racecourse on November 26.
Some of South Africa’s elite thoroughbred champions are among the horses lining up to run in the R2m Summer Cup after the first entries list, underlining the event’s status as one of South African horse racing’s blue ribbon events.
Attendees should expect the Summer Garden hospitality area, piazza public area, VIP marquees, delicious food stalls, activities and entertainment.
The stage is set for the 125th running of the highly anticipated Summer Cup.
There will also be a kiddies area and a halftime concert with some of South Africa’s top musical talent on stage. The fun family day is open to all who love horse racing or who love Joburg’s energy and enthusiasm for big events.

The Summer Cup will be running on November 26 at Turffontein Racecourse. The second entries close at 11:00 on November 1 and the final entries close at 09:00 on November 18.
Declarations are due by 11:00 on November 21.
