Food distribution in honour of Cajee
The society needs to work together to fight abuse.
The DA, led by Clr Rashieda Landis, distributed meals and loaves of bread among the needy in Robertsham on March 25.
Landis said the meal was distributed in memory of the late Nazreen Fakier Cajee who was brutally murdered by her husband late last year as well as all who have sadly lost their lives to abuse.
“Recipients of the meal were grateful for the ‘morsels of mercy’ at a time when South Africans are plagued by never-ending financial and other crises.

“The DA would like to reiterate its stance against not only gender-based violence but all forms of abuse as they, with their sponsors and collaborators, work towards a more harmonious country and community for all.
“The DA would like to also thank Uncle Baboo and Crew for assisting with the distribution, Misschefious for the preparation of the meal and Dr Nasiha Soofie, the women empowerment enthusiast, as well as all other sponsors for their contributions towards the event. Let us work together toward a society free of abuse in all forms,” she said.
