Brackenhurst Primary heeds TLC Children’s Home’s desperate call

TLC Children’s Home in Eikenhof was visited by the learners of Brackenhurst Primary School, who made generous donations on the day.

Brackenhurst Primary School’s community group visited TLC Children’s Home on April 19 to spread joy and love, gifting the kiddies Easter eggs and making much-needed donations.

Teachers Melody Pheiffer, Tanita Palm and Beryl Downs gathered the donations from learners and gave them to the home.

Pheiffer, of Brackenhurst Primary School, said TLC Children’s Home desperately needs help because its funding was withdrawn.

She said the learners were excited to visit the NPO and donate to a worthy cause.

This term, the school will prepare and donate rape care packs to the Tears Foundation in support of the survivors of rape and sexual abuse.
