Body of a new born baby found in a bucket

Seek help when you have unplanned pregnancy.

The community of Turffontein was shocked when the body of the newborn baby was found in a bucket wrapped in a towel on May 25.

The baby was found in a service lane of Garden and Park streets.

Ward 55 Clr Rashieda Landis, who was on the scene, said. “Mothers, if you know your baby is unplanned and you don’t want the baby, please we do have facilities to help. Don’t feel alone.

“If you are on drugs, you can prevent this by using contraceptives. I am shattered. Every time I get this kind of call my heart breaks. Who kills their child, a full-term baby? Ladies of the South, let us unite against this evil spirit,” she said.
