SADAG launches new online Men’s Grief and Bereavement Support Group

Grief knows no boundaries, yet society tends to overlook the experiences and needs of men who lost a loved one.

The South African Depression and Anxiety Group (SADAG) welcomed the launch of an online Men’s Grief and Bereavement Support Group that will start on June 7.

Grief knows no boundaries, yet society tends to overlook the experiences and needs of men who have lost a loved one. Losing a loved one can be a challenging and isolating experience.

SADAG’s mission is to provide a safe and supportive space for the unique needs of men facing loss. With this group, they aim to break the silence around men’s grief and provide a compassionate environment where participants can share their stories, find solace, and heal together.

SADAG will meet online once a month to reflect on your progress. Their support group provides unconditional positive regard because each person is an expert in their journey.

If you are a man in grief or know another who is, contact Jonathan on 083 230 0007.

For information on other support groups, visit www.sadag.org, call 0800 21 22 23 or SMS 31393 to speak to a counsellor.

At Caxton, we employ humans to generate daily fresh news, not AI intervention. Happy reading!
