Nyathi the new acting CEO at JRA

The disciplinary process of the CEO, Tshepo Mahanuke is yet to be concluded.

The Johannesburg Roads Agency (JRA) has with immediate effect appointed Goodwill Zwelithini Nyathi as its acting CEO.

JRA board chairperson, Charles Cilliers, made the announcement on June 9 and thanked the outgoing acting CEO Louis Nel for his efforts and the excellent and brave manner in which he conducted himself for nearly eight months, leading the JRA under difficult conditions.

The role of the CEO is a critical and strategic position for any organisation.

In line with the shareholder governance policy and rotation principle, the JRA board of directors, in consultation with the shareholder, unanimously agreed to appoint Nyathi as acting CEO, while the board of directors concludes the disciplinary process of the CEO, Tshepo Mahanuke.
