Randeor School welcomes new principal

Randeor School elects their new principal and she is ready to execute her role, excellently.

Ronwyn Morgan-Rhodes has spent the last nine years teaching at Randeor School and was recently appointed as principal of the school.

“I first joined the school as head of the department (HOD) then progressed to deputy principal, the next step was principal and here I am,” said Morgan-Rhodes.

She is a Wits graduate and began her teaching journey at Winchester Ridge Primary School where she won a scholarship to study in the USA for two years. This is also where she also completed her Masters degree.

Morgan-Rhodes was the acting principal from January 1 and was elected the new principal on July 1.

“It’s the first time riding without wheels. Andre Nel was the principal when I first came to Randeor School then he retired and thereafter Marianna Vosloo took over the leadership role. She taught me everything I know in the administrative aspect, she was a great principal.

“I always say Andre Nel gave me my chance and Marianna Vosloo taught me everything I know. The two of them are a big part of my story,” highlighted Morgan-Rhodes.

With her 18 years of experience in teaching, principal Morgan-Rhodes intends of executing her role by making Randeor School a smart school and introducing more technology into classrooms.

“The school is home to learners with learning difficulties and with the integration of technology it will assist the learners to a great extent,” emphasised principal Morgan-Rhodes.
