TLC Children’s Home turns 30

The home celebrated a incredible 30 years with the support of the community

This month TLC Children’s Home turned 30 years old.

After lovingly caring for over 960 babies, TLC were deeply moved to celebrate with a wonderful event at the new property in Walkerville.

The organisation were encouraged by the support showed by the community, making it a meaningful and memorable occasion.

Managing director Pippa Jarvis said: “It was a powerful reminder of how many residents of the South have had a hand in supporting the important work that TLC does, giving our most vulnerable citizens a hope and a future. Although the majority of our children move into loving, permanent homes while they are still babies, TLC has committed to raising those who do not.”

As the children’s home is positioning itself for the new academic year, the older children are in need of your help. “We have 22 children from Grade One to college age who all need supplies and support. If you are upgrading school bags and replacing stationery, please consider sending us what you no longer need,” Jarvis expressed.

“We want to set our youngsters up for success and we can only do it with the help of our community,” said Jarvis.

TLC invites you to make an arrangement to come and see its’ work first hand. The children’s home loves to tell people about its work.
