Paint for a Purpose: Fundraiser to Support Kruger Flood Relief

Messy Masterpieces and Kom ons Praat Dramaskool will host a creative fundraising evening on March 13, with proceeds going towards flood relief efforts in the Kruger National Park through the SANParks Honorary Rangers’ K9 Project Watchdog.

Messy Masterpieces and Kom ons Praat Dramaskool will host a fun fundraiser event on March 13.

“We are incredibly proud (and honestly a little emotional) to finally share this with you,” said Erna van Staden from Kom on Praat Dramaskool.

Messy Masterpieces is hosting a special fundraising paint event in support of flood relief in the Kruger National Park, with proceeds going toward relief efforts through the SANParks Honorary Rangers’ K9 Project Watchdog.

“When devastation hit Kruger, we knew we couldn’t just scroll past and carry on. We may be a small creative business, but we believe deeply in the power of community, kindness, and doing what we can with what we have.

This event is exactly that – our time, our hearts, our paintbrushes, and our incredible Messy Fam coming together for something bigger than you,” she said.

So come along and join them on March 13 at 18:00 at the Dutch Reformed Church, Brackenhurst.

Cost is R350 per person, which includes a fully guided Messy Masterpieces paint session, pre-drawn canvases so no experience needed, a beautiful safari-inspired artwork created on the night and a warm, welcoming space to create, connect, and give back.

Erna continued, “This is not about being an artist. It’s about showing up. It’s about sitting side by side, painting together, laughing together, and knowing that your seat at this table helps make a real difference.”

Every ticket sold contributes directly toward supporting flood relief efforts in the Kruger National Park, helping the SANParks Honorary Rangers’ K9 Project Watchdog continue their vital work during this incredibly challenging time.

“We are beyond grateful for the support, guidance, and go-ahead to make this event happen, and we would love nothing more than to see this space filled with people who believe, as we do, that art can be a force for good.

“If you’ve ever painted with us before, this one is special and the perfect place to start. Come paint for joy. Come paint for the community. Come and paint for a purpose.
