Alberton Lions Club spreads joy at Johannesburg Society for the Blind

The Alberton Lions Club and friends of the Lions spent a special day with residents at the Johannesburg Society for the Blind, serving food, sharing smiles and giving back to the community

The Alberton Lions Club, together with friends of the Lions, spent a meaningful and rewarding day at the Johannesburg Society for the Blind on May 9.

With hearts full of compassion and service, members prepared and served delicious boerewors rolls, chips, fruit cake and custard to the patrons. Refreshing orange juice was also handed out to complete the meal.

The annual visit has become a special tradition for the club, giving members the opportunity to spend quality time with the residents and dedicated staff at the society. The day was filled with smiles, warm conversations and memorable moments that highlighted the importance of giving back to the community.

Lions Club members said it is always a privilege to serve others and connect with the residents through kindness and care.

The club also thanked all Alberton Lions members and friends of the Lions who gave their time and energy to make the day possible.
