Man shot in Eden Park
It is alleged that the gunshot victim and perpetrator were playing with a 12-gauge firearm when a shot rang off.

Law enforcement officers in Eden Park responded to a shooting on the corner of Benz and Adler streets, where they found a man bleeding excessively, so they called an ambulance to the scene.
“On February 9 at around 18:00, we responded to a shooting on the corner of Benz and Adler streets in Eden Park. A victim was shot in the leg and rushed to hospital in an ambulance. A suspect was still on the scene when we arrived, but we did not find the 12 gauge firearm on the suspected shooter. At this stage, it is unclear if the firearm is licensed or unlicensed,” said Lee Sampson from Da Champ Security DCS.
“We apprehended the suspected shooter on the scene and handed him to the Eden Park SAPS, where authorities will process him. Investigations are ongoing as the firearm has not been recovered yet,” added Sampson.
It is alleged that the gunshot victim and perpetrator were playing with a 12-gauge firearm when a shot went off.
The unidentified victim was severely wounded during the shooting and could have his leg amputated.
