SAPS seek man involved in Eden Park shooting
The shooting left an unidentified victim severely wounded and facing possible amputation.
The Eden Park SAPS and Da Champ Security (DCS) are looking for Mharlin De Makwa in connection with an investigation into a shooting in Eden Park on February 9.
That day at about 18:00, DCS officers responded to a shooting on the corner of Benz and Adler streets in Eden Park. A victim was shot in the leg and rushed to the hospital.
The victim was still on the scene when the officers arrived, but they did not find the 12-gauge firearm.
It is alleged that Mharlin De Makwa and another suspect were playing with a 12-gauge firearm when it went off, wounding the victim, who was rushed to hospital.
‘’It is unclear if the firearm is licensed or unlicensed,” said Lee Sampson from DCS.
