WATCH: Eden Park roof sheets thief caught and made to return them
The suspect agreed to take local security officers to where he had sold the roof sheets. He was made to carry them back to the owner.
An incident that took place in Eden Park left some residents amused, while justice was somewhat served for the crime victim. A shop owner called his security company after his roof sheets were stolen.
Witnesses saw the suspect steal the roof sheets. “We responded to a call of theft and the suspect was casually walking around the crime scene. We engaged with him and he agreed to take us to the place where he had sold the roof sheets. The sheets were recovered and returned to the owner,” said Da Champ Security’s Lee Sampson.
The incident is understood to have taken place on March 18.

The suspect is said to be staying on the property where the roof sheets were stolen, and the store owner, who is a tenant on the property, chose not to open a case of theft against the suspect.
Da Champ Security made the suspect carry the sheets back to the owner and some members of the public were clearly amused if the video is anything to go by.
