Burglars caught hiding in roof after Verwoedpark break-in
The burglars were apprehended before they could escape, thanks to the quick response and collaboration between CPS Security and the SAPS.
Law enforcers arrested three burglars on suspicion of household burglary after finding them hiding in the roof of a home in Verwoedpark.
CPS Security reported that their control room received a tip-off from a vigilant resident who saw the burglars break into a neighbouring property.
CPS immediately dispatched reaction and tactical units to the scene. Upon arrival, the officers confirmed signs of forced entry and searched the property, eventually finding the burglars hiding in the roof. They removed them after some convincing, said CPS Security.
The Alberton SAPS was called to arrest the suspects.
Further investigation led the burglars to reveal a second location where officers recovered stolen items from the home.
The case remains under investigation.
